Employee Benefits

Employee Benefit Plans

The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) requires that employee benefit plans with more than 100 eligible participants receive an annual audit. This audit is reported to the Department of Labor each year with IRS Form 5500, Annual Return/Report of Employee Benefit Plan. If your employee benefit plan – 403(b), 401(k), or profit-sharing plan – covers more than 100 participants, we can audit the plan to satisfy the Form 5500 requirements.

West Rhode & Roberts is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Audit Quality Center, a firm-based, volunteer membership center for firms that audit employee benefit plans. We have audited employee benefit plans of all sizes. We can assist you with an easy transition to WRR or with a first-time audit. Our partners and staff monitor changes in regulatory requirements and reporting obligations, and we attend the AICPA’s annual National Conference on Employee Benefit Plans.

Single Audit

Every day you strive to build a better world. We want to free you up to achieve your vision.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and other federal agencies require an audit if federal expenditures exceed $750,000 in a year. West Rhode & Roberts regularly helps clients with grant audits, preparation of financial statements and compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance.

For non-audit clients, we provide compliance analysis, indirect cost rate reviews and audit support.

Single Audits

If your non-profit expended more than $750,000 in federal funding in a fiscal year, you need an audit in accordance with OMB Uniform Guidance. WRR regularly performs Single Audits and can accommodate the needs of your funders.

We will assist your staff in the transition to new auditors or provide detailed requests for information that will make your Single Audit go as smoothly as possible.
